expertential is the world’s first Expertise Sharing & Management Platform (ESMP), developed as an online application. It is designed to enable users to administer Expertise Management within their business or organisation via the web.
An ESMP enables users to capture, plan, manage, share, reuse and exchange expertise. The expertential software breaks down a plan for any job or project into:
- What to do
- How to do it
- When to do it (and how long it should take)
- Who should do it
expertential facilitates staff to finish all jobs and projects expertly and efficiently.

Expertise Management is a method of effectively managing the activity within an organisation to optimise time and resources.
There are 4 essential factors required to complete jobs expertly and efficiently:
- Experience - capture the expertise senior staff have gained from years of experience
- Knowledge management – capturing, storing and sharing the specific instructions or tasks to complete each job activity
- Time/project management – defining the exact and optimal sequence and time required to complete each activity / task, and
- People / HR management –identifying who has the minimum required expertise and is available or who needs to be recruited to complete a job
EM maximises performance from the ground up, ensuring that every member of a team develops their expertise and meets their full potential.
For more information on how Expertise Management differs from knowledge management and project management, check out our comparison overview here.
